Our Team

Located in the Sea to Sky, NCR Rescue’s mission is to deliver exceptional technical rescue training. We are grounded in our love for ropes, passion for teaching and technical expertise. NCR use teaching methods that address most learning styles in an approachable environment. We are dedicated to teaching courses that not only meet, but exceed industry standards and best practices. We want to empower individuals and teams with the skills to confidently perform rope rescue safely.

Dr. Nicole Sugden

With a Ph.D. in Cognitive Developmental Neuropsychology, Nicole is the Rope Team Coordinator for her local Search and Rescue team—and, in her spare time, an amateur balloon animal artist.

Nicole’s experience as a SAR Rope Team Lead, an IRATA Rope access tech, and vast SAR and Medical skills make Nicole one of the most badass women in the field.

Nicole brings her passion for teaching and authentic connection with people to every student she trains.

When she's not teaching technical rope rescue, Nicole is an active member of SAR & Fire, as well as an avid climber and skier. After all, why else would you live in Squamish?

Cameron Bryant

Despite his dwarven-like appearance, Cameron is surprisingly claustrophobic, and goofy. An electrician by day, rope trainer by night, and aspiring Jedi in between, he brings a wealth of experience to both recreational and professional rescue instruction.

Cameron is an instructor in a wide range of recreational courses, including whitewater paddling, ice climbing, and waterfall rappelling. On the technical side, he’s delivered NFPA-compliant courses and SAR Wildland Rope Rescue training. He’s also served as a SAR Manager and SAR Rope Team Coordinator.

When he’s not teaching rope, you’ll find Cam adventuring with his family, paddling down rivers, or playing video games.
